Mount Sinai Hospital
Dedicated to discovering and delivering the best patient care with the heart and values true to our heritage
SINAI FIRSTS Establishing the first breast screening study in the country was just one of the many Sinai Firsts
As one of Canadas pre-eminent patient care, research and academic health science centres and one of Greater Torontos Top Employers, Mount Sinai Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in the community and also well beyond our borders.
We focus on three broad organizational goals:
- Patient and family-centred care;
- Increasing our role as an academic health sciences centre and teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto; and
- Enhancing our community health partnerships.
In 1923, we began our history as a 33-bed maternity and convalescent hospital. Today, we are a state-of-the-art, 472-bed patient care, teaching and research hospital, but the reason we’re here has not changed since the day we opened our doors — serving our patients and their families.
