Our major programs that include Cancer Care, Child & Teen, Emergency Services, Family & Community Medicine, Genetics, Maternal Newborn, Medicine & Elder Care, Mental Health, and Surgery, are supported by a number of departments including Medical Imaging, Laboratory Medicine and Pharmacy Services. A 192-bed long-term care home is located at the Seniors Health Centre.
Affiliated with the University of Toronto, our hospitals strong teaching role is tailored to local needs with many academic and research links. We are preparing future physicians, nurses and other health-care professionals to work as part of an interprofesisonal team that provides essential care in the community. We are the training institution of choice for many resident physicians.
